I have a similar problem with a DV6000US, after installing gutsy, my wireless
card disappeared. It is completely gone if I do an lspci. And starting with the
switch on or off makes no position. BTW I also need to boot with noapic nolapic
and irqpoll if I want the computer to boot up at all,
I installed the workaround, lets see how it goes, thanks for providing
it.
I can confirm the bug on 2 separate Kubuntu installs and Suse 10.2, all
updated to the latest versions. All are running extensions but different
ones, it seems like a Firefox specific issue to me.

WiFi looses

Hi
Normally my WiFi connection works OK. But I have to go via
System/administration/Network to set it up whenever the PC has been
turned off. It seems like the network is not stored, when it is saved.

The laptop I use for testing sl-modem-daemon (our winmodem support) has
stopped working properly. In tribe 5, sl-modem-daemon worked fine. Now
attempts to dial give NO CARRIER / ERROR immediately (without even
waiting for dialtone).

On my installed Gutsy Ubuntu, after a massive update about 20070922,
wired network is no longer configured after boot. Selecting the network
icon and selecting wired network, it does come up. This should have
been done by boot.
