Thanks for your bugreport and sorry that this caused panic.
This is fixed in my bzr tree and will be part of the next upload. The
demotion calculation now correctly takes replaces into account. Gaim and
cdrecord now correctly vanished from the list.

For the missing panels, this can be the bug where gnome picks the screen size
from a not-existing screen. Can you attach the output from

zero or off. After which pressing the brightness up key, Fn+F8, does

This problem seems to be caused by the repeat keys feature in Keyboard
preferences. When I switch off "repeat keys", I get one screenshot, as
expected. Only with "repeat keys" on, I get multiple screenshots.
I would say this type of special keys / key combinations should not be repeated

The same thing happens to me.
The installer stops at 53%, but I can close the installer and use the
Live enviroment. I can also start gparted manually and partition my hard
drives.
I have a ATI Raedon 9800, 2 harddrives 250GB and 500GB. On the 250GB

The first time I installed Ubuntu 7.10 on some AMD64 PC which I did not
know very well. Then I listened to music and thought "oh the soundcard
is amiss" and bought a good new one for 75€. I installed it and the same
problem was there again - damn it fucking software-problem

recorder, Thoggen and so on, and some administration apps too. Can this

Nevertheless I didn't reconfigure Evolution. I used it over the last
months and the problem arose just after the upgrade. My accounts and
folders stay the same, without my having made any change.
I know it is of minor importance, though it is something!
