Kernel 2.6.23 is out and claims to have included realtek alc268 support.
Anybody who tested and confirmed that (sound working without patches and no
alsa recompilation)?
It might be a better solution to create new kernel pkgs instead of new alsa
packages, since 2.6.23 fixes lots of important
This is the first time I've done this... so I think I've built the
package before doing the debdiff, rather than just building the source -
hence the automake changes in the diff. I've redone the patch and it has
only the changes I've made before building now. See the new version of
the debdiff
That worked perfectly. Thanks!

Hi,
While testing the live CD (well DVD) of Gutsy RC in VirtualBox OSE, I
tried the Deskbar Applet search with foo and then corrected that as
live; it ended up displaying two Actions to search with Tracker for
both words, so it seems like a race.

I could finally test ubuntu gutsy and found out: it is broken,
hotplugging usb smart card reader does not work.
the problem is simple: /dev/bus/usb/* has device files in ubuntu gutsy,
but /proc/bus/usb is an empty directory. the kernel event gives us a file
name in /proc/bus/usb :(
