the problem are missing song lists on the 32bit under the games/data
directory. Extracting the files necessary from the tar file available at
sourceforge, and adding in the location of /usr/share/games/fretsonfire/
directory, remedied the issue.

I tried debian etch, debian sarge, and ubuntu 7.10 . I was about to download

I have clean installation of gutsy gibbon.
version of vim package: 7.1-056+2ubuntu2 (gutsy)
Laptop: IBM Thinkpad Z60m, 2529-FKG model.
Theme: I usually use silicon, but I checked it under human theme to the same
result.
Effects: effects are off.

When I connect the usb camera Canon PowerShot Pro1 in Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy), it

I must tell you that I´m using Gutsy since beta version and I had this problem
once but I solved it without too much work. Now I have this problem again but I
don't find any solution.

I am getting this in gutsy with network manager with the PPTP plugin.
when i connect to a windows vpn server it overwrites my local resolv.conf with
a blank one. I can then edit details back in.
when disconnecting the vpn it puts the original resolv.conf back and overwrites
any changes.

I'm running Gutsy-amd64 and the soundcard seems to be recognized as snd-
hda-intel, but there is no sound output. I have tested with various
arguments to the driver, such as model=toshiba etc with no success.
The immediate workaround is to install Realtek's audio driver

I went in and checked the /var/crash directory... when I did ls...
I seen few files... ones dealing with my gpddrive (trying to play with that
too after
basically giving up with firefox). but nothing that says firefox in the file
names...
at least I am learning :-)

The way I finally got mine to work is to create a keyring for the
passphrase to the wireless network. it does mean typing in a password
every time i want to connect to my home network but at least i can
connect

In my very humble opinion we can attack/dissect the bug in the following
way.
hardware/manufacturers part :
* harddrive firmware should use sane defaults for power management
* the BIOS shouldn’t set the amount of power management of your harddrive
* harddrives shouldn’t die within one year
