Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: rdesktop
rdesktop just vanished
ProblemType: Crash
Architecture: i386
Date: Wed Oct 31 13:04:40 2007
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 7.10
ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/rdesktop
NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx
Package: rdesktop 1.5.0-2
PackageArchitecture: i386
I found a solution:
first edit the following file:
sudo vim /etc/usplash.conf
there change the default resolution, i.e. 1024 and 768
my file looks like this:
#Usplash configuration file
xres=1024
yres=768
then run:
sudo update-initramfs -u
that did the trick for me.
