I also studied the problem and suppose that libpcre.so.3 is the file
that generates the bug.
I've even copied the 32bit version file to my /usr/lib32, then
successfully installed the flashplugin-nonfree, but without any
results.
I mean the flash in firefox still doesn't appear!

The way I use the laptop is to hibernate it and then restart it. I

This sounds similar to the problems I've been having with
NetworkManager. I'm running 7.10 on a Thinkpad T43. I found this
workaround, which stops NetworkManager on suspend and restarts it on
