Sometimes the apport retracer gets stuck in an infinite loop with
retracing the same bug over and over again. The reason is that p-lp-bugs
fails to remove tags sometimes:

I can confirm this bug on Dell Inspiron 6400 with Ati Mobility X1300 graphics
card with an Ubuntu Hardy Heron install updates until 28-01-2008.
When installing xserver-xgl packages I can login, but only see a blank screen
and an arrow, nothing more.

Yes, finally it works. Thanks a lot to you. Okay, the Brightness Applet
itself is very tricky to handle, changes the brightness already by
clicking on the icon (is it working fine on yours?). But that doesn't
really matter, the brightness is now controlled by Gnome Energy
Management. Merci
