The new icon in
Further update. Now after closing the documents and opening after some
time I am experiencing that the issue has vanished for now. So every
time a reboot might not be necessarily required. However, I distinctly
remember that merely closing and reopening the documents hadn't worked

After coming back from hibernation sound doesn't work.
This is the only solution that worked form me...
sudo /sbin/alsa force-reload
afterwards it reloaded all of snd modules back to kernel and gnome-
volume-applet asked for reload.

/usr/share/gdm/BuiltInSessions/default.desktop
which calls (by special exec keyword):
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc
which sources:

Xsession then sources:
~/.xsession
from:
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/40x11-common_xsessionrc
So
Yes, the same error occurs with Hardy, and the same workarround solves
the problem.

I'm not sure if 115237 is talking about adding workspace names to the
desktop itself, or to the little preview area in the desktop switcher.
My request was the latter. I just want to make sure that the bug
reports do not get combined and then the subtle distinction gets
inadvertently lost.
