Same here. Quit goes to the logout screen with NO shutdown or restart

I'm unconfirming this for now - Asterisk 1.4 has changed to 64bit file
pointers, so a 2GB file won't cause it to receive SIGXFSZ. That's not to
say that ulimit won't, but I have been unable to trigger this (my
testing involved patching asterisk to open files with O_APPEND instead
of O_TRUNC and
(it might be worth mentioning, for anyone encountering an issue like this, that
the WAV files asterisk defaults to writing, will not be valid if they grow over
2GB, because it uses 32bit values internally).
Basically I suspect there are corner cases here where Asterisk isn't going to
handle

Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Several of the RSS podcast feeds I listen to, periodically include a
video, or pdf file rather than an MP3... Rhythmbox downloads the file,
and then says that it failed, I like the fact that it downloads the
file, becuase I can see it and
I've attached a copy of my sources.list (minus my ppas and third party
repos). You could try saving it and seeing if it sorts your problem,
just change the hardy entries to gutsy before attempting to use it.

thanks for the report, can you reproduce this only with the firefox
plugin of totem? did you tried to download one of those files and play
it with totem? does that works fine? May you get a firefox log also?
just run firefox from the command line listen to the wav files and later
attach that file
