I have quite similar problem - my PC does not shut down at all.
I tried this new kernel and it seemed to work for me. I had some
network-manager errors, but the PC did shut down properly. But I could not test
it with my wifi working because it needs the restrected modules to work.

Thank you for reporting this bug. Did this work in older versions of
nautilus? Pure ftp does not support recursive copy so if nautilus use
pure ftp it could not work.

I had tried official package xserver-xorg-video-
intel_2.3.2-2ubuntu3_i386.deb for ubuntu intrepid in hardy and it
doesn't work for me! :(
With 2.3.2-2 intel video driver xserver doesn't crash, but it doesn't
work.

And btw. I don't think that this is a driver issue. I have the same issue under
Windows. If I close my LFP without disabling it it went off but as soon as I
move the mouse or press a key it went on again. Maybe an acpi script could
disable the LFP through xrandr on lid close but I guess this
Probably everything will be OK since I've changed IDE cable to 80-wire. But
I've also old 40-wire cable so I'll try to test things on both cables.
But could you tell what exactly have you changed in this kernel?

I am unable to print a selected text in Mozilla Firefox.
Selecting a text in the browser window takes no effect in the print dialog,
the corresponding radio button is allways disabled.
