This Xorg log was produced when I specified ati as the driver instead
of vesa in xorg.conf. The symptom (monitor power down with blinking

There is no really problem for ufw, but its dependency, iptables, is very
difficult to test.
I have personnaly no issue here running with it, but a larger group of people
would be better as this latter has a lot of reverse dependencies, and so,
potentially conflicting version…

I have tested my recording again via the Intrepid Alpha 5 Live CD. I
burnt a disk, rebooted, ran the disk's self-check, the disk was error-
free, booted using the first option into the desktop, and neither
playback nor recording was working. I then went and followed the

Yes, the current firefox directory layout is a bit cluttered up.
Anyway, step by step instructions for fully updated 8.04.1 as of this

I confirm that this issue has nothing to do with libavg, I'm experiencing it
with gst-inspect too.
The sigsegv happens in fini_contex_translations function (setrans_client.c)
because it free a couple of uninitialized contexts.

ffmpeg could in theory link against x264, but we cannot do so in ubuntu,
because x264 is in multiverse whereas ffmpeg is in main.
if ffmpeg could load x264 at runtime instead of at load time then we
could enable it. promoting x264 is a no-go, IMO.

A few things: You seem to be changing debian/dirs for some reason? Do
you think you can use '-d' instead of '-e'? 0.6.4-0ubuntu3 should be
0.6.4-2ubuntu1 instead.

did you find any guideline telling you to specific the ubuntu version
you are using the title? that's wrong, create extra work and confusion

OK - I ran a couple of test prints from Intrepid and it is certainly

I rebuilt network-manager-openvpn including your patch, and tried it:
Still no passphrase dialog. Knetworkmanager shows a scrollbar, but this
gets stuck at 80%. After a few seconds there is a bubble saying
