It's been a while since I used Dapper. It certainly never happened for
me on Edgy, Feisty, Hardy, or Intrepid.

Please sync farsight2 0.0.4-1 (universe) from Debian experimental
(main).
Changelog since current jaunty version 0.0.2-1:
farsight2
Public bug reported:
Using ubuntu 8.04.1
The guys on #ubuntu IRC seemed to think this is a kernel bug.
The problem occurs when trying to use a RealTek and Intel ethernet card
together. lspci shows:
00:10.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82557/8/9/0/1 Ethernet Pro 100
(rev 05)
00:12.0
Most interesting.
Please also post the output of
ldd /usr/bin/amarok
dpkg -S libkdeui.so.4
dpkg -L kdelibs4c2a
ls -la /usr/lib | grep kde
You might want to throw these in a text file and attach the file since
there is probably going to be quite some output :)

amarok doesn't run on Ubuntu
I removed the package phonon-backend-xine and now the system shuts down
without the crash. However on startup there is an error message, that
Intel HDA is not responding and it falls back to default. SO I guess it
has something to do with the phonon-xine-package.
