the screen to flicker ( brightness is adjusted afterwards though ).

I have the same issue with linux-image-2.6.27-7-generic both on i386 and
x64.
A hotplugged camera is never recognised correctly and fails to work.

Thanks, I can't now check this because my machine installed the latest
nvidia driver(..177..? for higher display
resolutions) at the same time, and asked me to reboot. Ever since then
the boot sequence fails to complete, I get
the correct display resolution(1440 x 900) at the start,

[Solved] Just after my bad-tempered rant above I stumbled across a way
to recover from this problem...
Delete all the contents of the cache folder in the profile folder and
also delete all the places.* files - you lose your history but the live
bookmarks work again ;-))

I believe I have the same problem. At first I didn't choose a cert,
assuming things would be done automatically for me. I got a scary
warning about a cert, so I hit cancel instead of ignore and then clicked
the cert button. No cert was available, giving me a very confusing
choose option that
I just upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex w/Gnome) and had similar
problems with my Bluetooth Sony speaker (unable to pair with this device
which has a hardcoded pincode). The problem is that the Gnome Bluetooth
applet generates a random pincode and the Sony speaker has no way to
respond to

I reported this bug yesterday but after reading this post it looks like it has
been around for awhile. My laptop is a new HP G60 with Nvidia video card and
AMD dual core Turion CPU. On a clean install of 8.10 64 bit I can hibernate
and come back but if I sleep or suspend it will not resume.
Closing due to lack of a response in almost 4 months. KLibido has not
been updated upstream in over 2 years and doesn't look like it has an
active maintainer any more. If you feel this is still an issue I urge
you to reopen this report. Thank you!

with ubuntu installed on my linux aspire one, the onboard hardware doesnt seem
to work all the time. when I plug in an external wireless adaptor (belkin) it
works just fine abd can get on internet.

After Update 8.04 - 8.10 my system doesn't work.
The process /usr/bin/X11/X makes 100% CPU load and i can use keyboard/mouse.
But i can connect via SSH from a other PC.
