I was looking for a reason why Ubuntu kernels dont have CIFS_POSIX_XATTR set?
So the nifty posix acl extensions can never be used with stock kernel.
Should we open a new enhancement bug report for this or was I just not clever
enough searching...

it works fine but does not support MD5 passwords and as it is a drupal

In the case of Ubuntu 8.10, I think this is principally an oversight.
Note, however, that I've also tested this behavior with the jaunty
kernel which does have CIFS_POSIX_XATTR set, and it makes no difference
to this bug because of the atomicity issue I've outlined.

The .doc file looks blank under Office 2007 as well, so I am not sure
this is a bug. What was the .doc originally created in?

repros and it did. After that I enabled -proposed and I installed your

Even after several updates on 2.6.27-11-generic regarding power-
management the symptoms are the same.
The WLAN can not connect after resume. Sometimes it helps to remove and
insert the card after resume.

Okay, it sounds like it could be some sort of configuration option, that gives
a problem. Is it real fullscreen (eg. the border of the window is gone as
well)? This behavior is done by the window manager which in the case of a
gnome-session normally is either metacity or compiz.
