I had to add the FramebufferCompression off to the monitor section
(see below). While the issue sometimes only occurred when watching two
videos in parallel and making some overly (KDE kicker tooltip) appear
over them, it doesn't occur anymore even when watching 4 videos +
overlay. IOW, issue
i did an upgrade from 8.04 to 8.10 and this isn't working either.
if i run it manualy : /etc/cron.daily/apt it just sits there...

I have the same problem on 8.10 + Gnome, could not start Quanta after
entering MDI Childframe mode (pity)
cured also by quanta --resetlayout from the command line.

Sebastien, I think this bug is a duplicate of #304551 (already opened by
me:-)). This issue if related to personal key while #304551 is related to other
public keys. The bug is the same for me.

I have just installed (Feb 13 2009) Ubuntu 8.10. Firefox needs to
download Flash player. On installation this failed with the same
incorrect architecture i386 as above.
