So I fixed up the automake crap, and got the package to build; however,
the three new themes don't actually work. They appear in the theme
selector, but just with a big question mark preview, and if I select
them, it says that it isn't installed. But it's there..

Hello,
I am having the same issue with Ubuntu 08.10. That is, the top brown menu bar
does not go from brown to transparent but completely dissappears everytime I am
working with firefox, and is restored by hitting F11 button.

Could it be related that in Jaunty with kernel 2.6.28 WorldOfGoo is
unplayable due to poor performances ? Strangely enough, glxgears is at
250 fps and it looks like Compiz runs smoothly (I didn't try the cube
but other effects were just fine)
With kernel 2.6.27 on the same system, worlofgoo works

Installed Ubuntu 8.10 the intrepid ibex released October 2008 and cannot play
movies. Downloaded the Restricted package but didn't help. Totem opens and
closes immediately. Installed Kaffeine plays sound but not picture. Installed
VLC opens and closes immediately as does

I do confirm the bug. When creating a new launcher on the desktop it is
not marked as executable, consequently it triggers the message of
warning and it doesn't show the icon.
