I apologise, I did not appreciate the difference. Unfortunately
openjdk-6 does not show up in my OpenOffice installation. However there
was an open software version 1.5.0 which I tried with a restart of
OpenOffice. Unfortunately, exactly the same thing happened, the problem
remains the same.
I am having the same problem, I ran f-spot through command line as root
and this is the log that I got :

The priority level I set in launchpad really has no bearing at all on
when upstream will fix the issue. If you want to try to convince

Oh I forgot to mention now with gvfs fuse it doesn't not try to
reconnect to sites if they are no longer mapped in Gnome already. So if
it was from some file long ago it will just show up to OOo as no longer
existing.

Does moving/removing your ~/.openoffice.org* directory resolve the
problem? This may resolve the problem particularly if it was due to OOo
trying to go to some website as gnome-vfs support is now disabled in OOo
and it now only uses the local filesystem (and gvfs fuse which appears
to OOo
