Not even in Jaunty :( Screensavers are somewhat important to normal
users. At least it is considered really basic stuff that should be
there. (K)ubuntu IS a desktop linux and should serve as such.
Why don't Kubuntu team select the cream of the crop from the
screensavers and include them. Or just i

Discussed with Debian; see debian bug report for details, but the main
points:
- At least for automake, LDFLAGS is a user flag, so upstream
(automade) makefiles are broken if they do not allow the user to set (or
reset) that option.
- CDBS has been in production use for a long time, treating

Oliver, the env var needs to be visible from the pov of notify-osd; I
don't think it's started by netbook-launcher, but could be wrong; I
rather think it's started by dbus activation
(/usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.freedesktop.Notifications.service). So
that'd need to be set in the env of the dbus
seb128 confirms that notify-osd is started via dbus activation.

I'm not sure I understand why we need this. On a standard install of
UNR, we have Metacity running without it's compositing manager enabled
(maximus has nothing to do with this), so no RGBA. The notifications
work fine in this setup, as they correctly detect that there is no rgba
colourmap present
Thanks for reporting this problem, however you didn't provide the full
error message so it's not possible to figure out why it's failing to
install. It worked okay for me...
