switched the window manager from Metacity to KWin, the screen fade to

I've been trying and trying to reproduce this error.
I tried doing an 8.10 install and upgrading to 9.10 as well as upgrading 9.10
from a beta install.
I've also tried a few other things, but nothing is showing this again.
Is there any way you could give me some details to reproduce this error?

Ok, after some searching, I think I've found the source of the problem:
VBoxClient failed to start at login, probably because it couldn't access
/dev/vboxadd, which is only accessible by root:root.
From the VirtualBox site and changelog.Debian.gz I gathered that
VirtualBox 2.0.0 and up are built

ubuntu blurry font behavior, and the bottom line uses Johan's fix.

I can confirm this here, as well. I suspect this is related to the fix
to #353251. I've attached my terminal log.
Note that this broke the Intrepid→Jaunty upgrade for me, so I think this
is pretty bad.

The Open office version is the version from the Ubuntu repositories.I am
currently beta testing Jaunty 9.04 and have installed Gnome first then
installed KDE from the package manager onto two machines from the
repositories.

After making the above change, xrandr in the guest now returns video
modes with resolutions up to the size of the VirtualBox window, and when
I go to full-screen, I can use up to the maximum resolution possible
with my monitor.
