On my Macbook Pro 1.1 (X1600 M56P) the Jaunty (kubuntu) ATI driver seems
to lock the machine up as soon as KDM comes up. Upgrading to
2.6.29-02062904-generic (confirmed as installed and running) does not
help. Same thing with radeon and radeonhd drivers if DRI is enabled.

I have the same problem here and unfortunately got messed up in
workarounds :-(
After I used the archive from Alexey, I got an error of different
versions (2.24 vs 2.26) of libtool. Then copied accidental all the files
from /usr/share/libtool/config/ into the archive and now I get the error
Someone else recently mentioned -- on the same bug at launchpad -- a
different fix. It might have been to delete the IPv6 entries in
/etc/hosts (IIRC), but you'll want to check the bug to be sure.

Now I tried Kernel 2.6.30-rc7 (from PPA), after 2 days again the same
error.
One more thing: sometimes mplayer can play any sound OK (after the error

I'm having the same problem here. It hangs after transferred. I tried
disabling the unrar option and the smart par option, but that didn't
have any effect.

I tried connect to
WPA-EAP with TTLS CA Certificate, MSCHAPv2 and username+pwd.
I need it to connect to my UNI-Network.
Currently it tries to connect (the wheel is rotating) and the
plasmoid-notification shows connecting to betanet
But the connection failes.
Using
Kubuntu 9.04
For me, that would be:
1) with the line un-commented (default situation)
- drum sound at the beginning
- NO login sound at desktop loading
- master channel muted
2) with the line commented (Gavindi's solution)
- drum sound
- login sound
- master channel unmuted
