However in Kerberos 1.7 the GSSAPI support has been included upstream,
with a slightly different API implementation.
So since the upgrade in Karmic to Kerberos 1.7 beta,
As far as I can see, the package is not in Sid. If you believe that the

I've been running the PPA package for about 24 hours now. I haven't
experienced any issues, no lock ups. I am getting much better frame
rates from glxgears, but honestly I'm not really _feeling_ any
noticeable performance improvements either.

I've been having exactly the same issues as many of the above posters have had.
I'm hoping to have a go at the Milan solution a bit later (deleting a few
hidden files). One other piece of info though.

Binary package hint: likewise-open5
Likewise-Open 5 relied on a specific GSSAPI patch in Kerberos 1.6.
However in Kerberos 1.7 the GSSAPI support has been included upstream,
with a slightly different API implementation.
So since the upgrade in Karmic to Kerberos 1.7 beta,
OK, let's hope that we can drop this in Karmic again. Approved for now.
