Got it working!
Tim, the problem so far has been that nm-modem-probe is not under
/lib/udev and I have been attributing that to the fact that I am on
intrepid. I had ended up thinking that nm-modem-probe was something
introduced in jaunty and I hadn't been able to find out how nm probed
the modem

Please open a new bug if you are having different problems, this bug is
very specific to using GL compositing managers under UXA only. If you
are having memory leaks outside of using compiz/mutter/kwin 3d
compositing it is most likely a problem elsewhere that needs to be
addressed.

1 The bug I have was exactly the same as Valentin's. So if I open another bug
then it is a duplicate. Fairly pointless
2 The bug was opened on 9.04. So a fix has NOT been released; this is
misleading.
3 By default Nautilus handles FTP and it used to make a
Confirmed - could this be a Python version problem? Similar problems
occurred a couple of years ago and the temporary fix was to link to the
previous Python version.

Searching some informations on seahorse' ssh-agent, I found this thing:

Whether it is a paper cut or not, this is still a very real bug. I'm
glad you have found it and are willing to take so much time to help
identify the screensavers that have problems. I am setting this to New
