Recently I found that commenting the RESUME= line out from /etc
/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume (or set it to a right usable swap
partition) and regenerate the initrd is solve the problem
(my usplash disappeared after I set up an encrypted swap replacing the
original one...)

I have to go to a text-console and have to restart GDM by service gdm

This is caused by a low dhcp relase time. I have fixed up the dhcp
script for samba that if the IP address doesnt change then it doesnt
restart samba.
