After updating to latest 9.10 Beta amd64 packages yesterday, the sound
on my system began warbling and clicking. It is reminiscent of the
old manual IRQ setting days when you had your SoundBlaster and COM3 port
using the same IRQ. I am using a Dell Precision M6300 which has

Could you report karmic bugs with ubuntu-bug netbook-launcher? I'd

This time, I installed all the 'extra' screensavers, both 'gl' and 'non-
gl'. Again, on selecting the AntSpotlight screensaver, it started to
display in the dialog sample window, then the system froze. My setting
in xorg.conf was

It was temporary archive confusion. This problem is fixed, though its
likely to occur again when next a firmware file is moved from free to
non-free and vice versa.
