The best workaround i found so far is to just use xfce4-power-manager
instead of gnome-power-manager. There's no flickering and power saving
features are working as far as i can tell. Not sure about suspending and
hibernating, though.

The password/grouppassword are supposed to be saved in the vpnc-plugin
for network-manager. Once entered and connected NM disconnects again,
forgets the passwords and they have to be reentered. Then it works

Although I noticed this behaviour first with the update to 9.10.
In 9.04 I didn´t noticed this bug. On my system it affects the VNC Player,
Kaffeine, Dragon Player and Totem Player. So I suppose it would affect any
player you will install. Power Management is disabled on

BTW - the tool tip for the workspace switcher still says click to start
dragging when hovering over an application, even though this clearly
doesn't work. I suggest disabling the tool tip until such time that the
functionality is put back (as I understand its hard).
