Ok, here is what I have done since removing scim-related packages, and
conclusions :
1/ Reinstalled scim packages and launched scim from a terminal : seemed
to work.
2/ Set GTK_IM_MODULE to scim-bridge in /etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/scim then
restarted the gnome session : seemed to work.

i noticed that every time the playback failed, Banshee's EQ gets reset to zero.

If I run a command such as
ebook-convert foo.txt foo.fb2 --single-line-paras --title Foo

then most of the arguments seem to be ignored: I get warnings that I
have not specified the language or title (though the

Hello,
When i'm at the login screen and I click on the Accessibility icon I get a new
menu.
In that menu I mark the 'contrast' option and I leave the Accessibility menu.
When I go back to the Accessibility menu, and I uncheck the
