I thought I would let you all know that I also have this bug with my pavilion
dv7-3067cl.
I will be happy to try anything suggested and give feedback. I've been using
linux for several years, so I am familiar with installing, compiling, etc., but

Binary package hint: gnome-panel
System Monitor applet provides invalid information when moving a mouse
pointer to its charts on GNOME Panel.
Steps to reproduce:
1) add System Monitor applet to one of GNOME panels and set network chart to be
shown
2) start to download sth
