I have the same issue. Used unetbootin usb flash drive to install 9.10.
Same thing happens in livecd now, first boot mouse buttons worked 90% of
installation now they don't work at all except right mouse button
randomly. Touchpad and external usb mouse do the same thing.

Adding to comment #45: update-manager was updated as of 01-05-10 but
didn't try install ati/amd graphic drivers. gksu 100% gives couldn't
grab mouse error also. Tried reinstalling libgksu2-0 but that didn't
help.

After a few hours, ktorrent and it's kio_file slaves use masses of
memory. I have Ubuntu 9.10 on an AMD64 system, 4Gb ram. this renders
the system extremely slow as almost everything is swapped out. Quitting

Hmm, this is starting to sound a bit like a xine bug. A few more
questions/directions to try:
1) What backend are you using for aqualung?
2) Is playback still noisy playing files with xine-ui in a terminal?
3) What version of xine and phonon are you running?

It might be worth trying again with xf86-video-vmware = 10.16.9, as
older versions would always crash with xserver = 1.7. Not sure when
this will be available in a lucid install image though.

protected network
I've created the network on first computer with WPA WPA2 Personal

If gnome-session is not installed gdm on current lucid will lock
completely before asking for the password. The only way to recover is
killing gdm-simple-slave with signal 9,
