For some reason i didn't have loopback interface defined in:
/etc/network/interfaces
So i've done:
sudo vim /etc/network/interfaces
and added:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

I'm experiencing this as well. I also see it when using the normal
Application Switcher (the one that fades and zooms unselected windows
and the desktop back). I cannot correlate a mouse position to the
flawed behaviour: I can leave the mouse exactly where it is, but hit
Alt-Tab a few more times

why is this even logged as an ubuntu problem , the fwbuilder interface
is poor ??? so tell the fwbuilder interface team about it.
ssh is the most secure way of moving files, so important files such as
firewall rules which contain in effect security policies for the target
machine need to be moved
Uh, I figured it out. It is actually a problem related to Wine. I had an
application running in Wine beside Brasero.
If I close Wine, Brasero works fine.
So, don't bother. It is not a problem anymore. Sorry for this. I don't know how
to delete this bug report :D

I've uploaded a package for lucid to opensc ppa. This package is based on
lp:ubuntu/opensc .
The only thing I've changed was the copyright since it was outdated. Please

Did you go into alsamixer or another mixer app and make sure that no
audio channels are muted?
By default, one of my systems had the Surround channel muted (which
mutes everything) and the PCM volume set to 0 (which was muting audio
from VLC and media players but not the system sounds).

I had this problem today, with Karmic. The problem went away after a
logged out and logged back in - I'm not sure what the problem is with
older versions, but I think in Karmic the problem is that seahorse does
not update with the new key when a new key is created while it is
running.

cmus' maintainer, Timo Hirvonen, has disappeared nearly a year ago.
Since that time, unofficial fork called 'cmus-unofficial' has been
developed. Among various fixes and enhancements, you can find there
native PulseAudio output plugin; -unofficial branch works

Please set firefox to prompt for a profile, generate the crash in your
main profile, then when apport asks you to submit, select the clean
profile to submit it in.

BTW, firefox -ProfileManager will give you the option to always prompt
for a profile.

I have a dsl internet connection using pppoe. To connect to the
internet i have to enter three values i.e. user name, service provider
password. Can someone give step by step instructions how to connect to
internet in Karmic as i am unable to connect through sudo pppoeconf as
it does not

Suggestion by Aaron:
That seems wrong, you shouldn't have intermittent results like that. I
wonder if your monitor is just too slow to respond. Does increasing the
timeout in NVDACi2cInit help? You could try copying the timouts from
G80I2CInit.
I will try this when a get the chance
