Correction...the tuner is xc3028
If I manually delete the xc3028 firmware from /lib/firmware there is no
more delay.
The firmware was both manually installed and through linux-firmware-

I solved it by setting EmulateTwoFingerMinZ to 0.
Try using:

@babbamaic: I've tried 1.24 and yes, the fan stays up and running on
unsupportable levels. Fan control is not working: I only get sensor
readings but no way of controlling the fan.
I needed the update to get the DVD drive working, and am pissed: what
tradeoff is that?
