I have the elantech touchpad on my zepto znote 3215W. Kernel 2.6.31-17-generic
the bug I reported in was assigned but is no longer so i don't know what is
going to happen about it.
It was completely unusable and could not be configured. It is still not working
fully.

I've managed to make a configuration for echo3g devices.
When it is placed in /usr/share/alsa/cards/ PulseAudio will be able to
automatically detect surround.
Not only that, but it will also be possible to switch between the following

I found another way to freeze the system. For me, the following command
will usually trigger a freeze before it completes:
x11perf -range copywinpix10,comppixwin500 -time 1 -repeat 1

Yes, Vish is right indeed. This is a bug in the icon theme.
ceg, what icon theme are you using? If it is maintained in Ubuntu we could keep
this bug, otherwise it's Invalid.

I can also confirm that nomodeset in grub2 seems to be a functioning
workaround. I have no idea what this does though.

Since it's unlikely to be a refresh rate issue given the error message
in dmesg and the fact that modelines between Karmic and Lucid are the
same, I'm changing the name of this bug
