problems.
For example usualy you can run firefox and thunderbird at the same time.

Hello to everyone, also seems that this a quite common problem. I am currently
running karmic koala amd64, and i'm having trouble visualizing birthday from
contacts in my personal folder. Actually I don't have any contact in my
ubuntuone folder. I have already tried to remove contacts with
I'm pretty sure it's a bug: if you insert an unformatted disk and ask
Nautilus to format it, it'll fail. If you insert a formatted disk with
some non-standard format --- my USB floppy drive supports a format with
1kB sectors, for example --- Nautilus will claim to succeed but the disk
won't

crashes it runs stable for the rest of the day...

The only cure I know for this problem is to re-install Ubuntu from scratch
again. Till that time, however, the system remains healthy as long as I
don't reboot the OS --- this means I can use my laptop for weeks, as
long as I just suspend it and wake it up. Hibernate and wakeup also
works

Same problem here with Karmic, kernel 2.6.31-20-generic. Battery life
decreased to 30% of that in Jaunty (1h to 20 min.).
Top causes for wakeups:
28.6% ( 44.7) kernel core : hrtimer_start_range_ns (tick_sched_timer)
13.6% ( 21.3) interrupt : extra timer interrupt
8.1% ( 12.7)

Public bug reported:
After dist-upgrading some of our customers servers which run Hardy 8.04
LTS server 32 bit, we have had sporadic SEGVs in random services (cron,
sshd etc). I'm pretty sure it's something to do with the kernel
because:
a) we've run memtest and they came up clean
b)
