mysql-cluster-common is deprecated. It once provided libmysqlclient16

i have noticed this especially in projectm, i have to start pulseaudio's
volume control to get projectm to behave normally, if i dont the
flower part of the visualization updates at about 5hz. this is very
wierd looking. I am using kubuntu.

After the latest fix 2.10, I see the following: it does not wait for
var, it reports failed mount, asking to skip (S) or manually fix (M).
If I am going for the manual fix, I see the following:
The /dev/mapper/control file is the only file in /dev/mapper. Nothing
else in that dir.

I don't quite understand the first paragraph. Sounds like the reason is
that the file is corrupted? This happens only for some pictures, I can
not recognize a pattern.
I can now confirm them failing to open in F-Spot though. File corruption
seems quite possible here. :(

Xubuntu sorely needs a better option for x-display-manager. gdm-2.20 was
tremendously helpful to have, simply because the alternatives are awful:
gdm - heavy GNOME dependencies post-2.20
kdm - heavy KDE dependencies
lxdm - pretty, lightweight deps, but hard-codes xauth to ~/.Xauthority (*)
