With these latest audio updates, and while SDP4430.conf file is not properly
used, the attached amixer.sh script can be used to properly configure the audio
path.

Actually you are right, I had two microphones (it was shown just in the alsa
mixer not in the Input panel of sound preference). But I have selected the
correct one.
Anyway I "solved" the problem by installing the new version of alsa driver
(1.0.23) by hands.

removing the duplicate. The other bug was about not being able to open a
new nautilus window because of this thumb. Now people can, which is
better, but we still have the thumb.
So, letting the other fix released a keep this one for this specific
issue.

Note: This problem is on Ubuntu 8.10 LTS server. When I run ubuntu-bug
on that server from a ssh terminal I get

I have to kill it from another window and this resulting term
Unfortunately upstream development of olive-bzr has stalled for the last
two years. None of the remaining bzr-gtk developers used or contributed
to olive-bzr, so I don't think (2) is a good option.
It would be great if somebody stepped up to take over olive-bzr
development. Until then, I think it

The root cause is that the language-selector translations landed in the
KDE language packs. Fixed in http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-
langpack/langpack-o-matic/main/revision/332.

The installation scripts were not able to resolve my desktop (clockwerx-
local). Adding a hosts file entry made it go away. This should fail
installation gracefully, I believe.
