I see a translation in rosetta of this app. Some strings translated...

Maybe that can cause errors?

Continue from my comment #3.
Ubuntu is able to detect that the brightness has been reduced, but the
GNOME Power Manager's configuration was not updated. That caused the
brightness to be reset to 100% which is the brightness setting in GNOME
Power Manager.
Again, the bug still exist in Ubuntu

Dedbiff for maverick SRU
The current pinentry has a major bug, the password entry window does not come
at the top, causing alot of inconvenience to users.This debdiff adds
kubuntu_01_fix_stayontop.diff ( stolen from fedora ;) ) to fix this
issue.Another debdiff for natty as well.

The situation persists on Ubuntu 10.10: I still cannot use the
thumbscroll feature by default, so I still had to install gpointing-
device-settings.
