I have the released 10.10 with and ATI card and plymouth falls back on

It's bad when you type it in. If you then switch focus to another
window, and back to xterm, it's fine. But any subsequently-entered text
is bad, again until the focus changes away and back again.
I'm not convinced this is a problem in xterm itself now, but I've no
idea what it is in.

I found the culprit, modem-manager...
I loaded the ftdi_sio driver with debugging enabled. While searching the
syslog (did not check it yesterday) for debugging output from the driver
I found that from the moment I plugged the buspirate in, modem-manager
opened the port for some reason.
They disappeared again after two day's :(
I'm not sure what happened exactly but i think It might be that i added a
wallpaper by right clicking on a picture and selecting Set as desktop
background which cause's previously selected wallpapers using Add button to
disappear.

Found a temporary fix and maybe a cause of the problem
There are two keyrings one called 'login' and the other is called 'default' and
is the default keyring. During login only the 'login' keyring gets unlocked,
thus when connection via WiFi it asks for the password of the 'default' keyring.

I don't know if this is helpful information or not but I tried out the
latest Fedora Live CD and everything worked fine with that. Both sound
devices were recognized and installed and sound output works fine. No
other hickups whatsoever. See attached dmesg output.

Thanks for the quick response. The modprobe command didn't do anything,
since lsmod shows that the nwfermi module is already loaded. I don't
understand what the daemon line does, but when I typed it in, it
responded with daemonizing process! Afterward, I didn't see any
change in behavior from
Jeremy: see comment 73. OpenOffice.org, which is the main culprit here,
now has a toolbar button to make the document editable.
I've opened bug 605417 on the alternative fix. But I'm not totally sure
it's the right thing myself.

Hey Thomas, please try to run the seahorse program and look for the
ubuntuone key there. When I deleted that, it worked for me.
