I can confirm the fix. I've also just updated Samba to 2:3.5.4~dfsg-
1ubuntu8.1 from maverick-proposed and it has resolved the issues for me.
I am now able to copy large files to a Windows 2008 share without
getting the Invalid Argument error and the files now copy fully
instead of just 64KB.

Attached a new version of my patch. You find two branches linked to this
bug for maverick and natty. The patch sets SDL_DISABLE_LOCK_KEYS and get

Indeed, I suspect it was expected to get pulled in by dependencies by
mysql-server-core-5.1 and/or mysql-client-5.1 on libwrap0, but
libmysqld-dev does not (recursively) lead to a dependency on those.

I hit the same problem after installing and trying to use lxc. It was

I had the same king of UE messages from EDAC on Shuttle SX58J3 (Intel
X58 chipset) and on HP RV724AV (Intel X38 chipset) under Ubuntu 10.10
x86_64 (kernel 2.6.35-23-generic) but both systems were stable.
