Further analysis reveals that gnome-settings-daemon is running but it
seems it is unresponsive.
As a workaround I killed and started gome-settings-daemon manually to
get the themes working properly.

I don't have the machine anymore, so I can't perform the debug, however
I did try the Edger PPA, and forced the machine to use the evdev, and
had the same behaviour. EVTouch worked on the device.
Thanks for the great work guys. I'm upgrading to a newer machine
I never realized it, but apparently ubuntu-desktop pulls in ssh-askpass-
gnome. Explains why I missed this. I'll get a fix into Debian and sync
it over before Natty's release.

None of the sensors bugs seemed to have anything related to this bug,
probably because few people run multiple GPU cards in their Linux
installations. The bug is only that the temperature for the second card
is reported incorrectly.

i have ask this problem in irc , and found that i garble the run level concept
in debian series and red hat series .
the apache2 is on in level 5 not in level 2 . so it won't startup .

I don't believe this is a bug in either the terminal or the file manager
but in alien which can't yet process quote-escaped filenames so
reassigning to alien.

I went through and got the git source of xserver-xorg-input-
synaptics-1.3.99+git20110116.0e27ce3a from the Natty AMD64 repositories
(I'm on Maverick). I downloaded your patch, added it to the series
file, and built the dependencies. When trying buildpackage, the patches
all seem to go on

Found *one* problem (may be others). Trying to trace where the problem
was, I started Exaile with a tracer:
python -m trace --trace --trackcalls /usr/lib/exaile/exaile.py
--datadir=/usr/share/exaile/data --startgui

This fixes the backlight controls on my Dell Studio 1558 (Core i5
integrated GPU). I run ArchLinux, but the patch applied to a vanilla
2.6.38 kernel without issue and works great.
Here's to hoping that it makes it in 2.6.39 mainline.

Can you add udev.log-priority=debug to your kernel command line and
try to catch a boot where /home fails to mount, and attach your
/var/log/syslog when that happens?
