check it out on an Alpha stage, because it might be panicing just
because of it's own instability, therefore I wouldn't be able to

Bluetooth discovery fails because with the Ralink chip the bluetooth
radio is off by default, it need's to be switched on after each boot.
This can be done with the command: sudo bccmd psset -s 0x 0x028c

I have this problem too, Ubuntu maverick 10.10, on x86_64, tested on both my CD
and DVD.
all other cd rippers work well on my CD and DVD drive.
Can't believe that Sound Juicer is Ubuntu's default CD-ripping
application (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CDRipping) and yet it
doesn't work.
For the record, suspend and resume with both the mceusb and streamzap
drivers in 2.6.38 and up works just fine her, without stopping/starting
lircd. Pretty sure cases where they aren't working are either old
kernels and/or IR device drivers, or buggy usb chipset support.

Yes, now I see that bug 617192 it's basically the same bug, but if it's
marked as Fix released, how to bring developer's attention back to
this problem?

I am suffering the same problem, except that I am not under Oneiric, but
under Ubuntu Natty. I need to add PDF Studio (non standard Java app
-PDF Studio-) but there is no physical way to add it into the menu. Is
there a temporary work around?

yes it is still happening. i installed ubuntu when it was still in beta. my
video card broke on me before i installed it. when it was done installing
ubuntu told me that it could not run the new desktop and had to run old
version. my laptop is running new ubuntu with new desktop working and
