I wasn't affected by this until just this morning after letting my
desktop run overnight. Dash, launcher, and Alt+Tab all appear underneath
windows, forcing the use of Ctrl+Alt+arrow keys to switch to an empty
desktop for any real window management.

On the Oneiric release candidate, I can reproduce this consistently with
vim and gvim - just start vim from the terminal, then close it and
compiz hangs. (The fact that vim, a terminal program, was affecting my
window/compositing manager was particularly confusing.) Disabling File

If a window is maximized, it can be nin-maximized by dragging the top
bar down. Sometimes this works, but in many occasions it is not. The
cursor is changing into de drag symbol (folded hand), but nontheless,
dragging is doing nothing in many cases.
