- Remove (uninstall) bcmwl.
- Open ´additional drivers´ and let this reinstall the drivers.

after running sudo apt-get install -f, got a page of error messages, some of
which:
after running depmod
segmentation fault
failed/boot/initrd.ing-2.6.32-35-generic
failed to create initrd image

dependency problems prevent config linux-image-generic
