In System Settings, under Keyboard -Shortcuts-Navigation there is a list of
shortcuts
labeled Move window to workspace [1-12] that are disabled by default. If I
define a
shortcut for one of these, no matter how simple or complex it is, it doesn't
work.

Users who need sqlite2 support should probably stay on the 10.04 LTS
which has support on the server until April 2015. As Ondřej Surý
mentioned, sqlite2 has been deprecated for 5 years now upstream and by
the time that 10.04 has reached its end-of-life, it'll be almost 10. I
don't believe that

What version of Ubuntu did this work previously in? Also, so we can get some
additional system information attached to this report, please run the following

This is a bug in the version of python-pkg-resources provided by Ubuntu
11.10 so just upgrading the underlying distribute library to a recent
stable version will resolve it. There may be a cleaner backport package
somewhere, but I don't really follow debian/ubuntu these days.

Currently using 12.04 Alpha 1, upgraded via live cd. did a terminal
source list update, sudo apt-get update, which succeded. Update manager
loaded saying there were updates, clicked on install, and Update manager
crashed. restarted it, clicked on update, and update manager crashed
again.
