I updated the BIOS of this laptop from 1.33 to 1.37, no change.
I then installed precise alpha 2 and upgraded, also no change. Still
freezes.
Finally, I reinstalled precise alpha 2 but 32bits, not 64 as I had
before, and now it works. I can dimm the backlight without having the
laptop freeze.

I have Ubuntu Oneiric, I had kubuntu-desktop 4.7 installed, then did the

* sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
* sudo apt-get update

I've still got the same issue (Oneiric). I'm using XDM and EvilWM.
As a work around, what I do is:
- Alt+Ctrl+F1
- login
- /etc/init.d/xdm restart
- login via XDM
- kill the F1 console
I think the encryption is correct. By logging in via a console and then
restarting XDM, it sees the

disabling dnsmasq removes these errors but the errors above still

having the lens state preserved is in fact a design change, the text is
selected so you can easily type something else or clear the entry if

I also tested to change the size in the multiload-indicator settings,
but it also not change.
I know, in ocelot there was no problem like this (I used Gnome Classic
and the multiload-indicator without any problem) - no there must be
somewhere a change :-(
