Ubuntu better. While we appreciate the difficulties you are facing, it
would appear that the CD image (ISO file) you downloaded could be
corrupt. There is an easy way to verify the integrity of the Ubuntu ISO
files you download. C
The keyboard works fine.
Using another mouse doesn't affect anything.
I can't use that comment as I don't have a gui on my laptop, so I can't open a
browser. When I try to open that page on my laptop (logged in as me), I get
"Not allowed here

look at the name of the app to kill, note the PID number. press k, type the

Directions for using:
1.) Download the default.conf file in post #26 to where you can find it.
I usually download it to my downloads folder.
2.) Go to terminal and type sudo pcmanfm (or thunar or whatever file
manager your Ubuntu distro is using)
3.) Browse until you get to the /usr/share/pulsea
You can skip step 4 if you want BTW. I actually did. I just suggest it
if you want to play it safe just in case something goes wrong.

In the actual login screen (not test mode), you can move the greeter by
clicking and dragging the menu bar. This exposes what appears to be a
still-frame behind the login screen.
