This really sounds like some problem related to the construction of the initrd.
But it would be good to have some more information. One problem is that it is
that I cannot really see how the exact setup is. I would suspect sda contains
/boot (the partition table looks suspicious there, too), sd[

@Doug, I'm not into development, but I believe the right place to
interact with developers is at the appropriate IRC channels for the
different teams, you can get (in my experience) a fast exchange on any
issue with them overthere. I don't think there is usuarlly much
interaction of that type here
Could be, i run it on a usb stick live. the usb is 2GB.
