If I've been on my 11.04 install and then reboot to my 12.04 install I

I added the line:
tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
to /etc/fstab as it was missing
and then mounted the shared memory:

intuition is that it is just not just slow/busy machines.

When trying to update, I have a broken dependency which wants to remove
firefox or flashplugin.

If ssh-askpass activates and is waiting for user input, gnome-
screensaver doesn't blank and lock the screen.
Assuming a period of idleness that would cause gnome-screensaver to
blank and lock, then after the user interacts with ssh-askpass, gnome-
screensaver does blank and

I added some sysfs tweaks to /etc/sysfs.conf and those changes are not
applied when the computer boots. If i start the service manually
everything works ok.

screen blanks, then pushing the shift key to wake the monitors and to
request that gnome-screensaver display an authentication box sometimes
