This bug isn't just about jockey-gtk. Crashing while doing such an important
operation as installing a driver breaks the entire system, for example in my
case once crashed trying to install the post-release updates I can't switch

The screenshot in the first comment does not look minor at all. Dash is
the place to launcher apps, music, video and other files hence the most
widely used part of Unity. Not to mention HUD which look bad with this
bug as well. Since unity's emphasis is on design and beauty this bug is
not minor
Sebastien, that's not really the way you disable things in g-s-d. Schema
can't be shipped by other programs into the g-s-d namespace. If you want
to disable shipping the auto-updates plugin that's fine, but the schema
has to be installed otherwise other programs that rely on it are going
to start

I was able to do the upgrade by first removing libreoffice, doing the
install then upgrading python to python3 and then reinstalling libreoffice
