Yes, I know `chattr` and I already use it on Linux. But referring to
http://docs.python.org/library/os.html#os.chflags the flags feature IS
the chattr on Linux (Availability: Unix, not just MacOS and FreeBSD).
Reading further http://bugs.python.org/issue1490190 , the flags/chattr
seems understood

Same problem here. I got the valgrind working with some real stupid hack
but not sure what it breaks. Here are the steps:
1. Move from /usr/lib/debug/ the following directories to the following places:
usr/bin/ - usr/bintmp/
usr/lib/ - usr/libtmp/
usr/sbin/ - usr/sbintmp/
sbin/ -

Public bug reported:
Nautilus 3.4.0 does not remember the sort order of folders.
To reproduce:
Try to manually arrange the items on the desktop, then log out and log
back in and notice that nautilus sorts the items in default alphabetic
order.
To to change the sorting of a folder to
