When running the 'Gnome Classic' mode, applets can be added to the panel
like in Gnome 2, but it has become signifcantly harder and requires
alt+right click (ctrl+right click?) now - and does not work all the
time.
So this is actually two bugs, one that alt+click doesn't

12.04 B2 was burning Xubuntu CD (this is Unity-2D) got an xterminal
crash - was in back ground doing nothing - then while reporting the
xterminal crash the kernel crashed. Reverted to textl screen, screen
full of error messages, no cli. Could not resuscitate so re-booted.

Update, in the compiz config settings manager OpenGL: enable the
checkbox sync to vblank makes the performance a bit better but still
not as snappy as before!

control-center, not sure why the upgrade didn't pull it for you but it
