I'd already been working on fixing this and hadn't noticed Micah's
change to a removal request. I'm not going to bother removing this from
precise now (since I sent the patch upstream and to Debian, it's
entirely possible they'll reintroduce it anyway).

Yeah obsiously, you cannot change the LightDM Settings when youre logged in as
a regular user.
That's been made quite clear here elsewhere
So a user would need to either switch to the lightdm user in a terminal set
options in gsetting or create overrirde file(s) compile-schemas, not anything

I also have this problem in 12.04 beta 2 (not sure if it happens in
other versions as well). It happens on an Asus N53SV-S1827V. Suspend
results in a non-responsive black screen but the laptop stays on. The
only way out is by shutting the laptop down using the power button. I
fixed this using the
